What is ParentQA?: ParentQA is a text messaging service that connects you with a current parent at the school you're considering, so you can ask questions and learn more about the school.
How does the matching work?: You text your school's unique phrase to 888-293-3393 and tell us your oldest child's current grade. We match you with a parent who has a child in a similar grade so you get the most relevant perspective.
What should I ask?: Topics can range from school philosophy, community feel, through drop-off logistics. Parents can also ask about the current parent's own decision to enroll.
Is it a sales pitch?: No. You are talking to real parents giving real answers based on their own experiences. There are no scripts and it is not an artificial AI agent.
How much does it cost?: It's free. Standard text message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
Will my conversations be shared with the school?: Most schools simply connect parents to chat with each other. In some cases, a school may participate in the chat or may review the chat later. Each school's policy is clearly stated at the start of texting so all parties are aware of the school's specific policy.

For Current Parents:

What is my role?: You are a volunteer parent sharing your honest perspective with a prospective parent to help them decide if the school is the right fit.
How much time will this take?: You can text when you are free. We limit connections to a maximum of two per month to ensure you aren't overburdened.
Do I need to follow a script?: No. Just be yourself and comfortably answer questions naturally over text at your convenience.
Can I stop at any time?: Yes. You can opt-out whenever you like by texting "STOP" to our system.

Is my information private?: The school receives your first and last name, mobile number, email address, and your oldest child's current grade level to make a parent match. We do not sell or share your data with third-party advertisers.
Who sees the messages?: The participating parents see the messages and in some circumstances the school's admissions officer may be included in your group text chat or may receive a copy of the transcript for follow-up support. You are given full disclosure of the school's policy before you post or read messages.
Is it secure?: Yes. All conversation records are stored securely and handled with the highest regard for privacy.
